About Why Saltilo exists

Built inside a live operation, for the businesses that run on people

Saltilo began as the system a UK security company needed and could not buy: one place where the rota, attendance, welfare, screening and every client conversation could see each other.

The problem

Operations held together by people remembering

A shift booked in one system, a licence tracked in a spreadsheet, a welfare call logged on paper, and a client email answered from memory. Each tool did its job. None of them could tell you whether the officer on site at 2am was cleared to be there, had turned up, and was safe.

Our answer

One operating system, with an operator inside it

Saltilo connects the whole operation and puts Ani to work across it. She reads, chases, checks and reports, and every company keeps its own workspace, its own people and its own rules.

Where it is going

One platform, many companies, each in charge of its own

Saltilo is a software platform that companies subscribe to. The law is shown as a sensible default, and every rule is a setting each company owns, not something hard-coded for one business.

Measure Group, the security company where Saltilo was built, is the first company on the platform. It runs its daily operations on Saltilo, and every capability is proven there before we offer it to anyone else.

What we hold ourselves to

These are not slogans. They are the rules our own platform is built and checked against.

The outcome, not the acknowledgement

A “sent” is not a “delivered”, and a job that ran is not a job that worked. We read the result back before we call anything done.

Say what is not known

When the platform cannot establish a fact, it says so. An honest gap is worth more than a confident guess.

People are never removed silently

Taking someone off a rota or out of a system is a person’s decision, made on the record, never a side effect.

One clock

The business runs on UK time, so everything a person reads does too: every shift, reminder and deadline.

A record you can stand behind

What the platform did is written down in a way that shows if anyone changed it afterwards.

Automation answers to people

Ani does the work, and people decide what she may do without asking.
